There are many, many ways that the company could have asserted that mainline partners not hire RJET pilots. I suspect that an e-mail or letter would have been the last method by which they would have done so, as either is easily discovered as evidence.
The union has said that RJET has or is encouraging mainline airlines to not hire RJET pilots. RJET sent a letter to the union threatening to sue if they didn't stop spreading "unfounded accusations" and the union's lawyer told the company, in legal terms, to "pound sand."
The union is pretty confident that this happened. So confident, in fact, that when the company threatened to sue, the union essentially said, "Go right ahead."
I believe the union leadership.

I haven't seen it but I'm pretty sure I can guess what's in it. Teamsters has been running ads like this in newspapers and magazines for years. You can see how effective it's been. I realize that their hands are largely tied by the RLA, but it sure seams like they're all bark and no bite.

Very. RJET is now largely considered the "plan B" for most prospective applicants and HR is doing backflips trying to get pilots through the front door.
If you've a better suggestion, let's hear it!

[QUOTE=sqwkvfr;1505029]...about six months, actually.
Actually, he's correct. I saw them post a magazine ad back in 2006 as I prepared to go to the regionals and again in 2008. Can't remember much about them, but they have been doing it for many years, both ALPA and Teamsters.

I don't have my AOPA magazine with me right now, but I believe the Teamsters did name names; i.e., American, United, Delta.
