yeah i understand a non q republic would be best, but recruitment said it's bottom of hiring priority now and i'd only get one more deferral, so doubtful i'd get the third option. Leaning toward CHQ unless someone can give me a compelling reason to pick the Q...or i have an eagle offer

That's surprising since they are getting 47 new airframes for that cert.

If you really want to go there, tell them you want the jet or nothing. They might conveniently find you a last minute class in the E170.

I personally wouldn't support Republic at all with there terrible contract and no cancelation pay, but if you have to, at least pick an airframe that won't break down every 2 minutes turning your 85 hour line into monthly guarantee.

Every regional is hiring right now. Why eat Mcdonalds when you can have steak?

I don't currently, and never have worked at a "crappy regional"... But I did realize how bad a couple of 135 jobs I had were and left them for much better paid corporate flying positions. So, good luck with getting out of your crappy 135 job!

Default Republic Questions

This forum would be a lot better and more productive if we could leave the high school bickering on the playground.

Agreed. But then nobody would have anything to talk about.

Not really a good comparison. All regionals are basically like eating at McDonalds. The differences represent items on the menu.

A better regional like Horizon, Air Wisconsin, SkyWest, ASA/Expressjet, etc. are like getting an Angus Deluxe.

Eagle is like a Big Mac.

Republic is like getting a quarter pounder

GoJet is like getting the stale old french fries that got lost under the seat 3 weeks ago

Great Lakes and Silver is like getting the wrapper, but it's made out of sand paper, asbestos, and the tears of children.

In the end you're still at McDonalds, the question is how miserable is the experience for you?

Check your PMs...I had an honest question for you (not baiting you into some bicker battle).
