Very smart....I can honestly say that these people at HR have always been on the cutting edge of hiring practices! Wow...I bet crew sched can't wait to get their hands on you!

Let me guess, you're one of those bad attitude types? "Don't fly the 170 because it has wing mounted engines." "Hate your job." "I didn't get left seat 777 right out of instructing, poor me."

I think you're missing the play on words. Wayne HELLER is the COO, and blamed for for much of the antagonistic attitude on managements part. I am not at RJET so that is just a guess.

How's that a bad thing? Every regional is doing that now as far as I know. It mitigates the waiting process from when someone reaches 1500 hours to sitting in class. If they need people why not get everything taken care of pre 1500. Seems like a great idea from an HR/recruiting standpoint. And if you're still building towards 1500 it lets you interview at multiple places so you can then make a clear decision on where to go.

I want a new contract, I want to be paid fairly, so if educating people and telling them to go to other airlines that are hiring makes me bitter or have a bad attitude, then so be it. But if you decide to make the ignorant decision to come here, then don't complain later. You have been warned. Once we get a fair and deserving contract, I will have no problem with people coming here. So I hope I have made my point clear. If it makes me seem like a jerk, sorry, but I would like to make a fair wage for the people that I haul around the country. I came here before things got ugly, and I am trying to help make it better. I can't just pack up and leave, it is NOT that easy. We are paying our dues, YES, but if I am going to pay, then the company has to pay just as much. And they are NOT. They know it, and we know it. It is airline politics and labor problems.
So to summarize...THIS MANAGEMENT WILL NOT GIVE US A FAIR CONTRACT UNTIL THEY CAN NOT RECRUIT PILOTS. Until then, the beatings will continue, the union busting will continue, my junk wages will continue. I don't HATE my job, I HATE this 10 year old, outdated contract. Everyone has gotten new contracts (good and bad) in the past few years, it is our turn now!

that is 100 percent right, thats why there is mass walk outs after training here. every month i find they change flight times to cut my pay. I have to write emails for two weeks and they only fix it about half the time. when you hit 1500 hours any company will hire you. go to mesa, express, skywest. the only place that is worse then here is great lakes. only because of sjs.
Let me spell it out for you. The more people that keep coming here, the less likely we are to get a contract. I don't have a bad attitude, you are assuming things. Just the other day I had a new guy in my jump seat complaining about the company, and I asked him if he had looked at the union website and he said yes. So I then asked him if this place was as bad as advertised, he said yes again. So what makes you think that your experience is going to be any different coryk? I was on reserve for 2 years, fly the 170 in base, I have weekends off and life is great. BUT the ONLY leverage we have on this management is helping educate the public on why not to come here right now. It's a union thing...something a young CFI would not get because you have probably never been part of one...or you might get it.

I completely understand then. Your first post came off as a personal attack, so thanks for explaining.
I fly scheduled part 135 right now with no union. I'm sure you can imagine what all goes on for us. I'm not an eager CFI looking to make my first jump to the first airline that calls.

You dont want people to go to Republic, but you are staying around filling a seat. You're saying if people keep coming to Republic you wont get a contract. But yet by you staying and working, you are accepting the current pay rates and contract. So if you are so mighty with the words you use, how about you just quit and that will show management that you are worth more then the contract!
