When I was at Midwest, I flew with ex Braniff, Eastern, TWA and Military. Many had decades of experience in 121. Like the newbies AND veterans at the Majors who look down on RJ pilots you need to keep your eyes and ears open, your mouth shut and learn. You don't know all RJ pilots stories. Good luck surviving a very broken industry. With your attitude your gonna need it!!

Got an offer for either the Q400 or CHQ 140/145...bases for CHQ are looking more appealing unless it's pretty certain I wouldn't get EWR on the Q. Any recommendations from those on either on which to take?

Don't take any of them. The Q400 is a maintenance nightmare meaning lots of cancelations, meaning no cancelation pay, meaning even less money in your already pathetic paycheck.

Hold on for an offer from a reputable airline, or at least one that pays for maintenance cancelations.

Take the 145. Much better training program!

Yikes, I can't imagine how bad the Q program is if the 145 program is "much better."

I spent 7 years in the 145 program at CHQ, so you are half correct.
