I've never worked there (yet) but after living in a crashpad with plenty rah guys it's enough to make me sincerely sympathize with their plight. Real eye opener as to how crooked the nmb/rla is.

Yet you're still working there.

Starship likes to drop the "you're still working there" line then run back to his desk in IND.

A tired line... propagated mostly by people that got lucky without realizing it, or lack the fortitude to fight to make the career better.

People who say this and think that it somehow adds an original, intelligent point amuse the hell out of me.

Going through first-year pay at a regional airline, for me at least, took a few years of preparation, savings and sacrifice while working a much higher-paying job. I have obligations and I'm a little too far removed from the point in my life where my parents will help with my bills. I managed to survive, but it was very difficult, and I'm not willing to start over at the bottom of a list at another regional airline when I'm less than a year away from finally getting what I really came here to get: Turbine PIC time.

It is sophomoric and a little stupid for anyone to take the position that I have no right to speak my opinion unless I've voted with my feet.

Rest assured, I will vote with my feet the second I'm able.

Now, to be clear, I'll say it again: A lot of people working at RJET can best be described as "miserable."

If you get the Q400, you will be living in hell. Doesn't really matter what base.

Hard to say with any certainty, but assuming they can find people to hire into the Q, probably not long. There are about 12 more Qs coming, so the people hired at this time will likely be lineholders as soon as they fill classes after your hire date.
