Was just going to post this but I see it's already been said...

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. and Delta Air Lines, Inc. Reach Comprehensive Agreement on a Long-Term Commercial Relationship / aviator.aero


I find this BK to be very interesting in the fact that it so far has been exactly what the level minded people have been claiming in being a simple straight forward BK while disproving all of the JUMP SHIP'ers. Glad to see the Delta flying will be staying and could even be expanded.

That won't happen. Isn't delta scoped out? Wouldn't Republic have to release all other mainline partners' flying (just like Colgan had to shutdown)?

So the big question is, for the post I originally quoted, was it meant to suggest a merger with 9E or Delta? I. Guessing now it was meant to suggest 9E. For some wild reason I took it to mean a Delta/Republic merger...I know, I know I just made myself laugh!

All 3 legacy partners have a huge stake in RAH. There will be no acquisition or merger here. All 3 have too much to lose to allow either of the others to make that purchase.

Debtor in possession means Delta now owns Republic. Options for more 170s means repainting the AA and UAL planes. Only question is how will Republic be structured; as a separate subsidiary or merged with Endeavor.

That's nearly 200 planes. Can't repaint even a fraction of those with deltas scope limitations. DIP does not equal ownership. Far from it actually.
