I don't see an ALPA represented organization (Endeavor) merger with an IBT shop (Republic)

AAG has 3 wholly owned carriers. They are not merged and AAG freely moves aircraft and pilots (by way of whipsaw) between all 3. Think delta is above doing something like that?

There is a lot of information that is being ignored that is a part of this deal including slot leases and ground handling contracts. That 75 million could be tied with those deals.

There is a lot at play here and this is only from 1/3 of the partner airlines. There is still a lot to be seen.
You obviously don't know how DIP financing works.....

You can guarantee that delta will not give them 75 mil to kee flying for United and AA. If they accept the cash that flying will go away. That is their playbook all the way.

everyone is an expert.. I'm surprised everyone who post here is flying planes for no money instead of being millionaires. I mean, with all their insider knowledge and strong insight on how every aspect of business works and all..

Debtor in Possession means they are the #1 creditor and the first to be paid back. It also means they get first dibs on any assets. Whether those assets are airplanes, gates, landing slots, or something else, we don't know. We do know Delta thinks whatever it is was worth $75 million in their eyes.

You seem to be forgetting that republic does not need 75 million to keep flying. As of 3/16/2016, republic has 146 million dollars in investment funds that can be liquified over night if need be. In total RJET has a cash balance of ~172 million dollars.

As I posted in the other thread, this is a secured loan with liens placed on a single E170, 12 spare engines as well as a few other assets. It's terms are 5.75% simple interest plus 1% upfront for up to 1 year or upon exiting BK, whichever is sooner.

75 million is mere pocket change for Delta. But it is interesting to speculate about the potential payoff.

Then why did they file for bankruptcy protection then? Why did American file with billons of dollars in capitol? Because they make a case that if they don't restructure that equity will disappear and they will no longer be competitive. SO it appears that they do need it to reach their goals of this bankruptcy

Thank you captain obvious...

I never once have disagreed with that. Since the filing, I have been one of the ones saying this will be a straight forward BK with the goal to get out of the Q400/ERJ leases and to try and get higher rates with the majors. And so far that has been exactly the case.

But just because Delta has now given a loan, people are saying Delta owns Republic or that the UA/AA is done, when that simply is not true.
