Well then, that's a major un-answered question in the BK process. Another one: will AA and UAL (assuming RAH parts ways with Delta as a lot of people expect) agree to pay more for the flying, now that -- presumably -- pilot costs are higher under the new contract? What if they don't? (No court can force them to pay more if they don't want to, I don't think).

No but what the court can do is approve consessionary contracts that pay pilots/flight attendants/mechanics less. I doubt that UAL or AA will pay more. Especially if AA or UAL don't see any attempts to lower your labor costs. They will say everyone needs to get kicked in the shins.
It is actually looking more and more likely that the contracts will not be touched. In a filing this week by the committee that is made up of UA, AA, GE Capitol and a few others (in a petition against Seaburys Fee's), the committee reaffirmed that there is no interest in going after any of the CBA's. In fact, they used that as a reference as to why this Bankruptcy is more straight forward than those in the past, and Seabury shouldn't be asking for the moon because of it.
While anything can happen in BK, it looks like even the creditors committee has no interest in touching the CBA.

Most Junior 170 Captain on the last vacancy was an April 2012 hire.

Well, it looks like ur 'doubts' maybe unfounded and uneducated at this time, sounds like 2 of the CPAs have been reviewed and that the 3rd partner is not reviewing CPA but offering financial help.
But again, it's the airline industry, might be all false and a big conspiration

From Deltanet. This is interesting. Wonder if there's more to the story (and timing/speed of the deal).
Delta, Republic reach agreement on regional flying
March 24, 2016
By Michael Thomas, Corporate Communications
Delta Thursday formalized a plan with Republic Airways Holdings, Inc., which spells out continued dual-class regional jet flying while providing for a structured wind-down of 50-seat Embraer E-145 aircraft over the next several months.
“This enhanced partnership agreement with Republic means together we’ll be better positioned to offer Delta customers with the reliable, consistent product they expect,” said Erik Snell, Delta’s V.P. overseeing the Delta Connection brand.
The agreement comes a month after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and several months after a contract was reached with its pilots. Republic’s subsidiary Shuttle America operates 30 two-class E-170 and E-175 aircraft under the Delta Connection brand.
