Delta may have just gotten 2000+ pilots for only 30 planes worth of flying. This could be bad for the 20k retention bonus that the folks at Endeavor have been enjoying. Hopefully their contract protects them.

Republic may be looking at a significant reduction in flying if Delta move to aquire them outright. The rumor that Endeavor is starting up a 175 training program would also scare me if I were at Republic.

Overall I hope it works out for the folks at each individual regional. I still have friends at both.
So much BS in just one post. So funny. Keep going Einsteins.

You make a good point. Now defend it.

Ya know what. Which one of those is outside the realm of possibilities? As many have pointed out Republic owns the delta birds outright. 85 mil for 30 planes is a good deal. Thrown in the fact delta can cut 120 planes worth of competition flying virtually overnight during a regional "pilot shortage" and it quickly becomes quite plausible. Now tell me how that can't happen.

Scope clause won't apply if Delta decides to fly the planes themselves.

No, there are 200 Ejets, 70 145's and 30 Q's.

Which would be the best possible long-term outcome.

Also, just because Delta is providing the DIP financing, does that mean republic actually has to take it (all)?

Delta is not even on the creditors board, so I still doubt Delta is making a move to acquire republic.

So you still believe Delta would offer 75 million just to help Repubic, which in return helps United and American too? If so then you don't know Delta

Delta can not just go and buy out republic holdings. They are not on the creditor board, therefore, any debt owed to delta will be dealt with after everyone else's is. Do you honestly think AA/UA is just going to let Delta come in without a fight?

There is a lot of information that is being ignored that is a part of this deal including slot leases and ground handling contracts. That 75 million could be tied with those deals.

There is a lot at play here and this is only from 1/3 of the partner airlines. There is still a lot to be seen.
