I don't know anything about the UA Hogan test, but most personaility type assessments ask the same question 2-3 times and is looking for consistency.

Like the example above: Do you sometimes get frustrated with people? Yes, of course, they key word is sometimes. Then they might ask the question later on... do you always get frustrated with people? Probably not good if you answer yes to that one if you ALWAYS lose your ****! Lol

Quote: I got hired at United, I currently work at SWA and am just waiting on my class at United...so far the Pros and Cons I have come up with are this:

1. Line Select vs PBS
2. SWA has better Vacation
3. United provides crew meals, parking, uniforms, dry cleaning
4. (I am a commuter) Long call reserve at United vs perpetual 2 hour shortcall at SWA
5. Better hotels at United
6. more minimum days off at SWA, but you work more hours during your workdays at SWA.

Pay rates are about the same on the 737, but no wide body so essentially you are capped...plus I am looking at about 10-14 year upgrade...

This is a much more difficult decision than I thought. If anybody has made the jump please message me.
2-3 years at United to be a widebody FO. You'll work a lot less at that job than at SWA. You just have more choices at United. But you are really in a good position.

30-35 years of up / down in a guppy at SWA? Maybe if you're a jockey. That thing will ruin your back if you're taller than 6 feet.

Obviously diff strokes for diff folks and all that, but having the ability to bid WB and see the rest of the planet while earning a decent wage as an FO is a hell of an option. And if you have any seniority at all, you're getting decent time off.

I fly with FO's that hold Captains seniority on every plane that UA flies up to and including the 777/787. They're just waiting to upgrade so they can avoid commuting to reserve.

Almost all of them have been narrow body Captains and now choose to fly WB FO. Chew on that for a bit.

My advice for the Hogan is to lock yourself in a room that you will not have any distractions and take the test by yourself. Almost everyone that I know who has taken the Hogan with their spouse, has failed it. Be honest and consistent.

Do you want to fly a 737 for life that's the bottom line.

United current deal is up in 2019.

I know this has been asked 100 times in the past, but who would the majority say is the best interview prep/application review company specifically for United?
