Quote: Over the last few years, there have been a few stand-outs.

Southern Air...perpetually miserable, and by FAR the most miserable to be around in the field. They could be heard complaining before entering the dining room at hotels, and one didn't need to ask, to know who they were. It was the elephant graveyard, and to be within hearing distance was to listen to the mournful wail, "We've come here to die. Join us."

Netjets...the poor-me drama dominated everything, for a loooong time, and I hated using a Signature FBO, or to be around net jets in any form. The world revolved around them, and their problems, and they made sure everybody knew it. It was nearly to the point that if one saw a yellow tie, it would be accompanied by "Help, help, I'm being oppressed."

And of course ABX, which must dominate every conversation. The thread purports to discuss ACMI, but here, that's code for ABX. Where is 90% of the conversation in the cargo forum? ABX. The other 10% is reserved for Atlas, with straggler's squeezing a word in edgewise about anything else. But really it's all about ABX (to include the ABX/ATI infighting). "Stay away. We are toxic. Look upon us. Remember us as we once were. Grieve for us."
It’s normally best to just be quiet about places you don’t work and know nothing about, rather than yelling into the void just to hear yourself talk.

Quote: So, do you want a decent CBA? Or are you content with a concessionary CBA from 2009. I just don’t get your bashing towards those who want to improve ABX Air.

We can’t ignore the damage that ABX / ATSG management has done to ABX.
Why do you say I'm bashing?

My understanding is that the plan was to suppress hiring in order to force management to get moving on a CBA that would make ABX a career destination. I thought that was the whole point of this thread. I do, in fact, remember hearing discussions among members of the ABX pilot group hoping for massive participation in this thread to that very end. The union is even distributing flyers at job fairs to discourage interest in ABX among the job seekers.

If junior manning is in full swing, then that means that phase one of the plan is a success. Management should be on their knees begging for a contract soon in order to avoid having to explain the overtime expenses during the next earnings conference call, or at the very least to avoid missing flights when the word "unavailable" is heard every time scheduling calls with a junior man assignment.

Tell me where I'm wrong. Tell me where I'm bashing.

The beauty of it, whippy, is that everybody knows about it, because none of you can shut up about it.

It's appropriate, though. The world revolves around ABX.

I thought it was a well written piece. Made me laugh for sure.

Me either.

Absolute neandertal, vs. average, run of the mill neandertal?

You did make assumptions about where I work, however.

Does that make you just average, then?

I can't speak for netjets or southern, but he's pretty spot on about ABX

To get back on track for this thread... Having to listen to co-workers have a super serious debate about grammar for the 14 hour leg to NRT.

Quote: So the plan to suppress hiring at ABX by flooding the forums with negative posts about the company has worked perfectly. Success! Let's celebrate!
Says the guy nobody likes to fy with! Point out anything that isn't true.

Lets see are we suppose to get on here and lie and tell everybody to come join a company that violates the contract almost daily? A company that has gone 4 years without a new contract?

Maybe you should be a team player mark rather than try to dress up a pig. It seems you just keep saying leave if it's so bad. What happened to getting on board with fixing the problems instead if running around acting like a cheerleader for a company that has stole thousands of dollars from your paycheck for the past several years!
