Quote: I thought this was all going to go away on November 4th? What gives? Maybe people are calling it a full blown pandemic crisis because it actually IS a FULL BLOWN PANDEMIC CRISIS? Cases have doubled in the last 2 weeks - nationwide this time. (yes cases do count, don't bother) For you to sit back rest on your "personal data and experience" about what is ahead of us is absolutely fool hardy. And honestly it makes me question your risk assessment in the flight deck.

We haven't seen the worst of this yet. It's not expected to peak until MID-JANUARY. Thousands of dead per day for months. It's going to be the worst thing this country's faced in a long long time. And you'd rather get COVID. K, buddy. Death rates will soar when hospitals hit capacity because even though we've got treatments, there's no way these people will be able to receive them.

You curse Fauci for hurting the economy, but he's one of the few people of this administration who's giving it straight. (don't bring up the mask thing, it's old news)

I'm blown away that rather than attack the virus, you're counting on apathy to save you. It won't happen.
Bring out your dead.

Quote: spot on man. I was assured for months that this would all blow over after November 4th. Incomprehensible to me how we are still dealing with this, two weeks after the election. sarcasm.

It's all probably too complex to fathom for some. The cartoonish simplified world that some people live in means that everything is taken on face value. There is no such thing as mass hysteria, no one ever has alteria motives, and people don't make mistakes. Science is incorruptible and if the virus hasn't disappear immediately after Nov 4......Then gotchya.

Last I checked it is after Nov 4 and some pretty fishy things have happened.

We will be told to wear mask. We may be locked down. We may be jabbed. And then the govt will lower the PCR test cycle.....which of course means the virus 'cases' will drop. Regardless we will all thank.the intervention not the slight of hand.

Before you two sprout off about things go do some reading on what a PCR test for..... does it diagnose a case? I'll give you a hint......it tells you on the box whether it can be used to test for covid.

Go check out excess deaths.

It wasn't funny 3 months ago.

With 250,000+ dead and when they are literally "bringing out the dead" in some cities, it's even less funny now. Time to get new material.

Whaaat? I thought we would all live for ever!

Forget any other fact. 250000 is scary. Just imagine I I was one of them, or worse two of those deaths.

Go look up excess deaths.

TSA numbers.......Yeah seemed to to have stalled a bit. Good to see the spike in PCR positives haven't pushed the numbers down.

You're like a kid who's trying to keep a secret Tom. What's the secret? CDC says excess deaths are between 255k and 332k since February, and that falls in line with COVID deaths.

So what's your big surprise?

Of those numbers 2/3 died with covid. 100000k or so were non Covid related.

April 12 we had 45% excess mortality. Now it's 6 to 8% excess mortality.

So we are getting it under 'control'. And as more time passes that percentage will continue to come down with better treatment etc.

My point is......the covid 'spike' is not cases and the only number (if we used only one) we should look at is excess deaths........because the excess deaths have come down significantly while pcr positives have come up.

They are not correlated.

Maybe more trips to Chinatown by Pilosie would help?
