that’s actually not true United finished all their 777-300ER deliveries. They took delivery of 12 new 787 with 3 more coming next month and will take delivery of an additional 8 787s that will be on property by next July.

Not sure why we argue about which agreement is better... I hope that Delta's MEC was able to secure a better one. I’m still very satisfied that United’s TA passed and we were able to secure jobs, pay, and add some benefits during these hard times.

agree 100% I’m very happy for DL and there is no need for either side to argue about who’s is better.

however I do feel we should discus each TA so we can learn. Saving furloughs will be the new normal.

I agree and honestly I never even intended to post about either one. But when I go over to the Delta page and read their guys saying our agreement was an “embarrassment” and that they’re glad “United didn’t drag the rest of the industry down with them”, that grinds my gears. We have the largest number of seats at the highest pay rate, we secured multiple gains that will result in an industry leading contract on the other side of this, we pay protected every single one of our pilots in their pre Covid seats, and we strengthened our overall scope resulting in ALL of our flying being protected, both domestically and internationally. I don’t call that “lowering the bar” and “dragging the rest of the industry down”.

i agree with you. I think the agreement was very good in a lot of ways but you are arguing with people that never read e LOA and never will. They have an opinion that we took massive pay cuts and at now working for free and you aren’t going to change their mind.

Please consider canceling your condescending sermon. 40-some percent of the guys you work with disagreed enough to vote no. We get it. Your side won. You're not going to change their opinion by gloating and disparaging the other side.

I’d say the same thing for the condescending no voters as well. 50-some percent voted for this thing. It is now in effect and complaining or finger pointing from either side won’t change anything now. I’m going to write 2020 off as one big suck and hope that 2021 gets us much closer to where we were than where we are now.

I’m guilty as well. My arguments were definitely in the “yes” camp. Others were definitely in the “no” camp. Now people keep trying to justify their decision. Time will tell who was right. Until we have the benefit of hindsight, I’m moving on.
