When I left in October, CVG was the crew base for the 70/90, 50 was based in DTW. Even so, you'll see plenty of other DCI carriers in there, but Comair had more departures. That said, CVG was down to 160 daily departures from the glory-day peak of 900. So, yeah, it's pretty much a ghost town.

There are around 300 pilots still based in CVG.

I remember those days.... My personal favorite was doing a CD at 11 pm and being in line with 20 other Comair a/c. That was back in 2002 when Comair looked like a good choice... Ahh the good ole days

Not that it's without controversy, but for the guys getting furloughed, Gojet is hiring and really likes Comair guys. I know it's not a great place to work, but If you have to feed your family, it's an option.
