Quote: Are they still hiring onto the BN2 Islander they had down in San Juan? Are they still transferring those Islanders up to the NE for the summers?
They don't hire specifically for the BN2. You have to bid for it.

The are other operations in Puerto Rico if you are interested specifically in BN2's. Lower time requirements, but QOL & benefits aren't as good. Let me know if you need more info.

Any idea on the new pay scales? from the Cape Air APC page, "New contract ratified (payscale to be updated soon)"

Also, can anyone shed light on the ATR-42s? Where are they located? Do they hire directly into them? Thanks for any insights.

Retiring military, 3,000 total turbine, 1900 TPIC, King Air, C-130, C-17.

There are 2 ATRs both located in Guam. The changes to the pay scale were very small. It was about 25 cents an hour if I remember correctly.

Thanks Tlove.

Anyone know of any ATR pilots on this thread? (I've been gleaning the thread's 123 pages...) Obviously, most of the thread focuses on the C-402 flying. Cheers!

What would you like to know? I haven't been at cape for a number of years but I knew a couple ATR captains pretty well when I was there.

Anyone interviewed there recently or going to interview soon? I'm trying to figure out housing for the night. I don't really want to spend that $255 a night at the hotel where interviews are conducted. Any suggestions on how to keep it cheap or what you did when you interviewed there? The problem with finding a cheaper hotel is that I may then have to rent a car which is expensive in Boston. Thanks!

There are other hotels at the airport that are cheaper and will shuttle you over if you are interviewing in BOS.

I took the red eye from DEN and changed in the restroom at the airport before getting on the shuttle to the hotel. Worked well for me.
