Quote: Yeah from what I know and have heard, I think it's fairly junior on the 175 side since ORD and SFO are the only 175 domiciles as of right now. (DEN coming in SEP I think I saw, who knows). I guess it all depends how many CRJ guys senior transition over to the 175.
Dont forget PDX/SEA open as E175 bases soon. That will drive people out of SFO/ORD
Like I said, it was a guess. Looks like XJT is still losing cash, just not as much as it was.
but really

wouldn't be losing cash if there was a better CPA negotiated.....
Quote: Thank you for that useful information. Not very encouraging for me. If SFO for the CRJ isn't junior then I gather, obviously, the 175 isn't either.
Actually not true at all. SFO 175 is going pretty junior still. I just chatted with a new hire (been on reserve in ORD for only a month) and he's on his way to SFO.

You'll get ORD out of training most likely with the 175, but it'll only be for a very short while.
How long for a new hire to hold IAH?
Any ORD/MSP Captains know about how long it takes to hold a line in those domiciles...trying to weigh positives/negatives about taking first available upgrade (currently 30% FO in Denver) ...QOL pretty damn good right now, so trying to avoid commuting to reserve...any thoughts are appreciated
Hatrick, go to the FO home page and look under the PBS bid info page and you can see the number of line holders that are estimated for each position. Compare that to the domicile seniority list to see where you'd stand.

One month of reserve in MSP. I had my friend in ORD check PBS for me and this month I would have been w/in the targeted line holders but not guaranteed.

Also, 06/2007 hire btw.

Houston has about a 100 crews. Currently there are about 20 FOs with it listed as their first choice as a domicile. 5 openings are posted for next month. It pretty much takes someone leaving for a spot to open up so it might be a little while for someone to get a transfer there.

Houston is down to 85 FO's and the only reason there are five openings is due to people leaving for upgrade. The flying in Houston is shrinking and I would guess it would take 6-12 months to hold Houston.
