Looks like the SAPA forum crashed like schedplus at 1900 on the 24th.
Quote: • Pilots will participate in a new profit sharing program that is separate from Operational Performance Rewards and Financial Performance Rewards.
• 6% of the SkyWest Airlines’ annual net income will be distributed to the pilots and will be paid out the February following each applicable annual earnings period (payout to coincide with the Q4 SkyWest, Inc. earnings call).
Since the wording is odd here, does this mean that the pilots would no longer receive Operation and Financial Performance Rewards? Or would this new 6% deal be in addition to those?

JPs email says we get the PPS on top of the existing reward system.

That makes me go "hmmmm". Is SGU planning on long-term financial difficulties and are offering us a percentage of a loss in lieu of hourly raises? I fell for the Bro FO raise so I'm now suspicious of anything they offer other than cash on the barrel-head.
And SkyWest retension bonus to match Endeavors.... $20k per year. At the "Company discretion"..

Funny thing as only 15% of the pilot group even gets on that website!!!

If true, then here's some quick math based off of last year's income. Segmet profit was nearly $78M (I assume that number is close to "Net Income") and 6% distributed evenly to 3500 pilots is $1335 a person. I assume there's a years of service minimum which would probably narrow the available pool down quite a bit more. In any case, that's a nice addition but I assume the company is getting it back somewhere else.

Probably more than that this morning.

It's not even. There are multipliers for CA and FO:

CA: 1.15
FO: 0.85

At least it's not longevity-based.
Quote: "They"? Ah yes, the mythical "they", rolled out as a prop any time nebulous and vague arguments fall short

Yes there are people (with previous 121 time) who upgraded in a year (or even less on the Bro). But that was a very small bubble in about the 2005-2006 hire range...the older folks often spent many years in the right seat (of a bro or metro) and everybody since has had at least a four-year wait.

Also...don't count the bro "upgrades" in this context, because the small extra pay relative to jet FO was not worth the QOL hit. It only made sense of you needed TPIC.
Of all the captains I flew with that didn't upgrade within the time I started here they all had less than a 2-3 year upgrade. That means that the majority had spent at least 10 years and could have had multiple time periods of hiring at a major. For whatever reason they're still here... Big difference to our guys finally upgrading who spent 7-9 years in the right seat making squat. Our captain pay scale affords a person to live above a modest lifestyle not very possible with what our FO's make. If we're going back to Metro days well...everyday items we take for granted didn't cost nearly as much as they do today. I like where the 1st yr FO pay starts but welcome to what a couple other airlines have been doing for years now. It's really pathetic to see a $1 raise for captains and half that for FO's. Hopefully I don't become so selfish when I upgrade.

I'm failing to see where it can't be construed that I don't appreciate my coworkers.
