So a bunch of socialists are whining about the WSJ editorial policy? You're not exactly breaking new ground with that story.

Anyway, I read a pretty good article on the Forbes website that discusses the debate involving CO2, the climate, etc. I thought it was a pretty good article. Here is the thematic quote:

It turns out that the propositions that are “settled” and the propositions to which some like me are skeptical are NOT the same propositions. Understanding that mismatch will help explain a lot of the climate debate.

And here is the link to the whole thing:

Don't you know that Fox News is not a trustworthy news source. I mean only the far left news sources can really be trusted.

I do know that the media gave up its objectivity long before Fox News came along .
Still waiting on the esteemed Cessna Cpt. to provide answers to Jungles questions but I,m not going to hold my breath .
I'm still waiting for that Armageddon 100 foot Tsunami Wave to Hit New York City. I guess it's not going to happen so can we finally put Global Warming to bed just like we did with Big Foot, the Lochness Monster, and Santa Claus.
The Loch Ness monster is real!

Wolf? Crow?

This is from the article you posted. The ice is still melting - just not at elevation.

Quote:
“This new study doesn't change our view of the risks and threats from climate change,” he said in an online chat at the Guardian. “What it does do is improve our knowledge of the recent behavior of one part of the climate system.”

Indeed, Wahr’s study clearly notes that lower-altitude glaciers and ice caps are melting, to the tune of about 150 billion tons of ice annually, which the study predicts could lead to an overall rise in sea levels. He concluded that the higher altitude and therefore colder Himalayan peaks may be temporarily impervious to factors causing melting...
The snafu Fox is trying to make hay out of (that is: Himalayan glaciers gone by 2035) was quickly debunked and corrected within the scientific community two years ago. Peer review works.

Quote:
The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change famously predicted they could disappear as soon as 2035. It turns out that guesstimate was based on misquoting a researcher in a 1999 news article—not a result from any kind of peer-reviewed scientific study...

Like I said 15 years ago we had a model that said the sidewalks would melt in 2012. That was wrong; but our new and improved models say the sidewalks will melt in 2027.

And chic, ken little is the appropriate fable; not the boy who cried wolf.
Quote: My favorite part of this whole thing was when the Republicans hired their own climate scientist to testify in front of Congress. Professor Richard Muller examined the data that had been taken by the same scientists for years and even put a team together to collect their own data. Much to his surprise, his team's results mirrored that of the so-called "Climategate" scientists. In live testimony to Congress and in front of a bunch of Republican congressmen, he proclaimed that the climate data is indeed accurate and man made global warming is real. He stated that although many errors were made in the collection, the data does indicate that man made causes are causing global warming. The Republicans were in an uproar; the very man they hired to prove their claims completely refuted it. It was an instant classic.
In what sense was Dr. Muller, or BEST, hired by the GOP?
