Here is a retirement perspective. I was hired 6 years ago. That line is very flat for the next 10 years. Now imagine having another 1500 guys ahead of you as a new hire and the outlook isn't great for a new hire here vs the big 3.
All I'm saying is if you have multiple job offers go somewhere else. If this is your only job offer to escape the regionals take it. I just want perspective new hires to have all the available info.

I'm in the 2400s and my curve is even flatter than that. Would love to see a young new hire's chart. I don't go under 2000 for ten years. Yes it accelerates after that a lot. But unless we grow a lot beyond 4000 pilots I would think it would be about ten years for me to be a junior line holder captain. 14 from when I started. About half of how long I'd like to work here. Conversely they've put 1000 pilots below me in four years, almost a third of the list. To get to 70% at one of the big three would still take at least that amount of time. American has the steepest curve for sure. Go to where you get called. If you get multiple opportunities then pick which one works for you, not the Internet. If you're happy, stay, if you're not, figure out a way to get happy.Originally Posted by RiddleEagle18
