soooooometimes..... Maybe. But not usually. They called me this am. 0520 phone rang. Mind you his is day 5/5. Limo mco-FLL, fll-Orh. Ok then deadhead to mco? Oh no we're just gonna give you vda for your day off. Vda and JA? No. Yea no. Now I fully expected them to emergency assign me this trip after the 3-5 second pause of confusion. I was put on hold for 3min. Cs guy comes back and tells me that I'm back on short call. They simply just expect you to do these things. Don't be afraid to push back guys. 34 min to beer 30

They wanted me to start a trip on a RSV day and fly the next day on my day off. The guy didn't even ask actually he just gave me the assignment. I said no.

Don't even think they can make you do it that way during irop....the can JM but that means money and so does EA. They pulled that with me before, last day of rsv.....wx and operation going to hell .."FO....., we would like to see if you would like to work into your days off via VDA" Granted at least they asked but they were trying to avoid paying out anything extra.
