Quote: Ah cool. Any reason for the popularity BESIDES it being Florida? Crash pads near MCO couldn't possibly be any better than those near BOS or JFK.
I highly doubt there are very many people out our airline who commute by plane to MCO. So I doubt there are any real crash pads. Maybe a few people drive from a long way and get a hotel when they need it.

Quick scheduling question
someone is offering to drop part of his/her trip on the trade board. It is a 2 day with 6 legs total (3 & 3). He/she wants to drop the first 4 legs. So it would be 3 legs day 1, block 5 hours; 1 leg day 2, block 1.5 hours.
If I took the 4 legs, how much would I get paid? 10 hours for min daily, or 6.5 hours?
Thanks

The last bid had a lot of movement off of the 190, so expect the classes to have more 190s for a while. The next bid is in December, so in a month we will see what is cooking for next year.

You'd get paid whatever those legs are worth. I'm 99% positive there is no pay protection for a trip trade like that. So 6.5 hours.

Why the large movement off the 190?

Upgrades?

No real reason in particular. Looks like some more senior 190 Captains are moving to the Airbus.

Also many 190 FO's head to the Airbus once the 2 year lock is up. There was a lot of hiring 2 years ago so those guys are taking the transition.

Totally depends on one's preference...Airbus is comfy, fewer legs, higher pay and generally speaking nicer layovers....but has the dreaded red-eyes.

I know plenty of guys though who are just fine on the 190 and prefer the higher relative seniority and no redeye flying. But no, there's nothing sinister driving the movement. Hope that helps.
