Quote: Endeavor is on the way up. Those that left last fall are regretting their decision. They will come in these boards and talk about all the reason why endeavor is a bad decision. This is all based on a tough experience they had, times have changed. Talking to 7yr first officers is misleading because they are really two years first officers who go unlucky to be in the wrong place when the music was paused for 5 years. The music is finally playing and Delta is trying hard to make Endeavor work. Delta is the most successful major right now. Might be a good thing for your aviation career to be at the company the most successful US airline is trying to make work.
In the end Endeabor will have 81 airframes that's it,.. Becareful with the guys that talk up Endeavor because they need newbies to show up otherwise, the place collapses. So, take that into consideration as well...

Quote: Don’t you guys realize what Delta has effectively done with this 80k retention? They have given the endeavor pilots a raise! I don’t think it is coincidental that the bonus ends when the current pilot contract ends. They have recognized that part of the problem all airlines are having now is because of poor salaries at the regional level, and it has affected them because of the attrition, moral and the hard to find new hires.

As far as I understand it, at Endeavour there are aircraft that have been refurbished sitting in storage because there are no drivers. The more drivers they are able to attract, then more aircraft that will fly. The more aircraft flying the more captains that will be required, the more Capts required the more first officers hired and the cycle continues.

I know that there is a lot of hurt and disappointment with Pinnacle, Mesaba and Colgan, I hope however that there will be a change….and the morale will continue to improve. Ultimately all I want to see is all regionals have movement and better quality of life. We should no longer be abused for the love we have of flying and be properly compensated irrespective of the level we are flying at, as we all know an aircraft is an aircraft A380 to a Beech 1900 we all work hard and have families we need to feed. So lets all rally behind each other and work to getting the respect and compensation we all deserve.

We shall see, I find it hard to believe that Delta is going to pull 50 seaters out of the desert. At last weeks J.P Morgan and Raymond James investors conference Delta made no mention to investors that they plan to pull 50 seaters out of the desert. All they talked about was continuing to up gage to bigger aircraft. They specifically referenced how they are parking and will continue parking 50 seaters to increase capacity by using bigger aircraft and adding seats to those aircraft.

In my opinion they only way Endeavor doesn't end up with only 81 76seaters is if Delta exercises options on more CR9's and gives them to Endeavor??

We will have way more than 81. The plan to pull them out of the sand box is already started. You will see that this fall. The guys that left are regretting it. Attrition has stopped totally, and we have hired a ton so far this year with tons of interviews scheduled. Don't listen to the guys that left. They are angry and want to see us fail. The opposite is happening right now.

The numbers aren't adding up so far for pulling CR2's out of the desert. Only time will tell if this is actually true. I'm not saying this isn't a great place to work. The people at Endeavor are what makes it a great place. The $20k/yr bonus definitely helps make it viable. I would just be careful on what you hear and believe about all of these 200's sticking around if we can staff them.

As of last Friday the numbers provided in the company's flight ops update said 78 guys/gals in class already or scheduled for class through June of 2015. We are scheduled to still lose 128 captains to Delta from April - December of this year. Its takes minimum 2months and more like 3months to get a new hire through training and on the line. They better have at least 130 new hires in training for 2015 by this summer just to cover attrition to Delta. My opinion right now is they are just hiring to hopefully keep the 81 CR9's staffed at the end of the year.

They also said in a recent email that 2 more CR2's are going to the desert this month. This is one of the busiest block hour months for Endeavor. Not a good sign for the CR2's if they are still going to the desert during a busy month.

Dude you're delusional. They are not pulling planes out of the desert. That's a rumor someone started on this forum. I haven't talked to ONE guy that has regretted leaving, including myself. No one is looking back. Endeavor was a black hole sucking the life out of everyone working there and we are all in better places now.
You've hired several and that just started recently due to the temporary bonus. A ton of hiring has NOT happened. Attrition will aways occur at any airline so it has not stopped. And Delta has NOT publicly stated that they will give you WAY more than 81 planes. It's just false advertising on your part. 81 airplanes is what Delta has stated and that's all you can go off of.

Just how much koolaid did it take to get to that point? 5th year FO's Are still reserve in DTW. They just got rid of one of the major 200 maintence bases and I don't know where you're getting that they have hired a "ton"... They have lost over 1500 pilots in the last two years.

Well they're picking up more now than last year. It's only March and they've hired 80 ish.

Feel better now? Just because your Delta guaranteed interview is gone and the fact that CZ FO's make significantly less than 9E FO's, doesn't mean you have to hate on them all of the time.

Press releases, investor conference calls and union emails have always said the 50 seat planes are being parked. For over 2 years it has been communicated that Endeavor will be 81 planes. Why would you think anything else is going to happen? Good things are happening at Endeavor, that is money and a chance to interview at Delta, NOT growth or any captain upgrades.

The black hole you speak of now has glimmers of sunshine, in my opinion. I'm pre Mesaba, and minus the pay and quality of life due to the Block integration I feel that this place is finally starting to run like a real airline. I would agree with you if you're talking from the past. When I crossed over to the Pinnacle 200 in January of 2012 I was shocked at the cluster phu_ and couldn't believe that they managed to stay in business. Their training and checking culture had no standardization and had few accident/incidents to back up that statement. I'm not sure when you left, but it's not fair to say Endeavor is the same.
