Quote: No I wouldn't be able to, because there have been no vacancies in over a year in DTW now. Once you leave, you can't come back... We have at least 10 900 captains with job offers to Delta set to leave by July. Yet sill no vacancies on 17-01... that means DTW is continuing to shrink and it means the bottom captain will be about a 12 year employee. Reserve is looking like reality for anyone less than 17-18 years here soon. Similar story for MSP, just add a few years. I would take the 200 to get off reserve but that too still isn't an option. My hope is a job elsewhere soon. That seems to be the only option for someone in my seniority.
Dude, just commute, if you regret it later you can always blame me. Reserve is no way to live.

I'll say this again for everyone; Endeavor is far and away better than it was in 2014. There is a lot going on here. As a new hire, you will see fast movement, but if you are coming here expecting a short stay in New York, this may not be the best option for you. If you expect to upgrade anywhere besides New York, this isn't the place for you. If you have no issues being based in New York and don't care about a flow through, this is probably the best regional airline to be at. It's a matter of what you want (perspective) this place could be great or not so much depending on what you want. I am not suggesting anyone come here or not come here. It's a personal choice based on each person's needs.

the schedule I could hold in LGA isn't one that would be commuter friendly. I'd spend more in hotels than the difference in pay getting off reserve. I'll stick to driving to reserve until I can bid to the 200 or GoJets goes out of business.

If he was commuting to a line with 18 days off, and a schedule he could tailor to his needs there would be little to complain about. Some people make poor choices then blame others or circumstances for the situation they choose. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.

You've read too many russ stories, that self help crap drove half the pilot group away and would have driven more away if the company didn't do something real.

While I agree that if he dived in he'd probably like LGA CA just fine, he has a point he'd never get back if current vacancies are any indication.

That's fair, how are those guys still around? Clearly performance DOESN'T matter.

The short answer is Republic filing bankruptcy bailed them out...

Delta couldn't risk replacing Gojet and the Shuttle America flying at the same time, so they moved GoJet out of NYC and into DTW in a hope they could function better and stick around... then it turned out Delta couldn't let Republic die as some precious landing slots at LGA would be lost. But by then it was too late to pull the plug on GoJets.

Quote: If that made you excited, imagine how much more exciting it would be if the LMS date matched the date promised to "burn paper". Even if it's gonna be April because a couple guys didnt realize the lms date is wrong, the finish line is there.

Hope everyone at this company can be mature enough to realize the company has been stalling this for years, don't flip out on a couple pilots who were told the wrong thing in official communications and it delay us a couple weeks.

If you do, you'd better be a impatient brat at the company on the next screw up.

Mr. Wychor, always a pleasure, and don't be a stranger to these guys.

Well there's a minority of pilots at kennedy and garbagia who don't want the ipad, but to their credit, none of them appear on that shame list. If we somehow finish this thing by sunday itll still be the fastest lms to be completed. I always see a few guys doing their lms in the crew room that last week before the date, i know ive been that guy.

They're asking us to finish it 12 days early and almost everyone has. Lets not pretend that we're talking about a big problem. 2% of the group needs to complete this on a impromptu timeline
Ok, I don't think anyone is being immature. Even if someone is on vacation I'm willing to bet they know we're close to getting the EFB and the progress is close. This is not your typical LMS as I procrastinate with the best but I had it done day 2! Why? we'll it's important to most of us pilots to get rid of paper and the FAA is giving us an opportunity to do it sooner than they wanted it originally. It's easy for us to criticize on here how it was implemented but most of us have no clue what goes on behind the scenes, FAA, Daddy D etc. Let's get this done so we can stop doing these revisions and carrying 30 lbs of extra weight. I also don't think we should be critical of those waiting to the last minute, just should encourage them nicely!!!!

Last time I looked at the numbers on DLnet, Compass was hands down significantly worse than GoJet. GoJet may turn out to be the airline that just can't die, if those numbers hold for a significant period of time.

Compass? What the heck is their malfunction?

IROPS in LAX because it rains. A transition to a new software system that TSH did at GoJet last year this time, which lead to their numbers being so bad, from what my friends are telling me.
