No way to really tell right now. We'll find out after it opens.

If you are based in NY, then you get per diem while TDY, even if you live in DTW. 24 hours per day. Free hotels when you aren't flying out of base, though if you live there, not much need. Unless you wanted someone to be able to stay there with you, then you can claim the room I guess.

Not sure if they give you per diem if you already live there but that would be nice When they no longer need you to TDY then the NEXT you bid in your regular base in seniority order. BTW its a month by month gig

7.a. A Pilot filling a temporary Vacancy away from his Domicile will be paid per diem for the period starting at 0001 on the first day of the Month through 2359 on the last day of the Month, except for periods of vacation or other leaves of absence.

Subparagraphs G.7.a. through c., above, shall not apply to a Pilot who volunteers for a temporary Vacancy whose actual residence is within fifty (50) miles of the airport where the temporary Vacancy exists.

I don't know about Endeavor buying anything? But somewhere I ran into someone from upper management and was told that there were two regionals currently flying Delta connection that would not be after 2017. I didn't put too much thought into it, as I've heard similar stuff over the years. Otherwise I'd have more specifics. But would it be Skywest or Republic? In my opinion, probably not.

How? XJT and ASA are a single certificate. Separate contracts, but the operating certificate is now one entity. Why would Skywest Inc even sell?

That would be a disaster, merge a senior pilot group with one that already went through that battle and is finally emerging.

I've heard similar, I've heard in the next 48-60 months, DCI will be only Endeavor, SkyWest, and Republic.

I don't think so. The company cant do another 3 yr stint with operational fences and 5yrs with sli fences. ASA and XJT have done everything they can to stall integration. Delta would set us on fire and whizz on the ashes if we couldn't get the "synergies" in line immediately.

The first round drove guum-ball to drink, I doubt he'd stick around for a second round of merger crap (he wasn't even here for the beginning). So we risk getting a jerk like BW back who hates all regional pilots, and that'll end this company because no one will work together.

Edv just got fixed, unless it's a pilot group like gojets with such joke contract language and a pilot group who would lay over, bend over, and beg for more, there's no merger in our future.
