Quote: I'd say talk to the envoy guys about forced upgrades, junior man's, schedules, reserve rules, second year pay cuts, and 10 year flow and maybe they'll have a different take on the whole "AA Values Us" statement. Grass isnt always greener.
Forced upgrades...oh that sounds awful. Junior man...yeah that’s not happening here. 10 years ? Let’s wait and see. DGI could be 6 years with a rejection. You are right... not always greener, but back up plan with guaranteed job looks bright green.

That’s interesting. All the Eagle guys I know are flying for AA

LOL. Hats AND DGI. Still plenty of stuff to gripe about at 9E for the haters.
Or, let it go, relax, have a genuine conversation with the hard working FAs and fellow pilot on your next flight.
Heck, Compass pilots have a much bleaker outlook than us, and they're joking about snack baskets and dropping some of the funniest memes I ever seen on their feed. I'm hoping our future growth entails an acquisition and fair merger with them. I don't care about their planes. I want their humor and positive attitudes in our pilot group.

You thought I was being serious?

I guess I was. I don’t believe flow to AA will be 13 years. The 13 year deal “I think” will be slashed in half. You can interview elsewhere while knowing a job is waiting for you. Not bashing Endeavor...I’m here long term, but the career progression is lacking. Number 1 priority for most of the pilot group...Career Progression!!!! Then Propel launched....wow just wow.

I ain't bashing endeavor, and I certainly take issue with any new guy here bashing envoys flow. Idiots. #1 place to go, classes stuffed full, paying 30% less than we are; less than 30% in some cases?

I wish our new guys cheerleading would admit "I'm having second thoughts but I'm too buried in my own inadequacies to admit Im worried i blew the pooch so instead i scream louder."

I just asked an Envoy guy I flew with. He said he was going to AA in about 8 mos, and it was about 8 years to flow for him. Lucky guy, as long as you like AA, or like their money.

If you don't care about their planes, tell me specifically why you want a merger or acquisition. I want your specific reason. I'm totally curious about the thought process here.

Nobody here should want a merger with another pilot group. Granted the career expectations of 9E would allow us to control the integration fairly well. Considering a tremendous number of ASA people came over at year 1 pay, deltas plan worked perfectly for them.

This. Why through a merger process would delta want to add more guys to the top of a payroll when they can all start over at year one. Like swagship said, we got a lot of 10 year xjt Guys now making 1st year pay. Don’t fix what ain’t broke will prolly be the motto for regional consolidation. If we merge with compsss their 2007 guys will make out like bandits. They might even be able to hold MSP, they have a lot of commuters out of here that would love to give up the LAX commute and be home based again, that would sure ruffle up some senior fellas here feathers a bit
