Quote: Delta is the way AA and United should be.

Also united is buying a lot of 737-700 for domestic flying (don't remember the amount, but it is in the 70-100 planes ballpark).

AA is behind about 10yrs of Delta and United. Delta is ahead of the game right now and AA is trying to play catch.
I agree in the sense that American seems to be in no hurry to bring the 76-100 seat feed back to mainline. I do think that is going to have to change over the next few years and it will be interesting to see what their solution is. All that being said; I think Delta's lack of wide body flying will make it less attractive going forward.

Delta less attractive? Are you high?

Quote: OR you can't read. I clearly stated I offered to VOLUNTEER, something that you don't do for the CP position as it's a PAID position. I asked you to show me where I ever said I APPLIED for the CP position. Words have meanings. I was addressing two of your "call outs" toughy because your incessant routine is annoying. If you review our entire conversation and the context you'll realize you're an idiot. Or cherry pick what you want. I'll absolutely stand behind everything I've said on here. I said the same things about management on the ALPA forum. You're lack of understanding of the English language is not my problem. We also know your spine only exists in an anonymous Internet forum. You calling me not a man is kind of funny as I'm sure you have no idea what a man is stuck in your safe space with all your trigger warnings.

I and many others on here will continue to "whine" about this amateur management and you stay on your knees under DFs desk. I'm sure you'll do whatever it takes to whoever you can to get to your flow spot a little faster because based on your inferred mental skills and ability on here, you're gonna need it.
My lack of understanding? I asked you if you had applied for the two open CP positions. You said "I volunteered but they didn't want me". Hmmmm now wordsmith and name call.
You are a malcontent that has no idea what it takes to be in management. You don't want to help the company as you have said many times. You are part of the problem that would rather point fingers and name call.

I bet you are a real gem to fly with. All of what? A year airline experience and you know everything and have all the answers. Pathetic.

I would be glad to have this conversation with you face to face. PM me your name and I'll set something up. My guess is your know it all persona is only on a keyboard............

Go read over on the delta threads about what's going on over there with their wide body international flying. If you want to fly narrow body domestic the remainder of your career then go for it. But the max days off and the pay have always been on wide body international flying. You want 21 days off making $250,000? Not on a narrow body. Delta is doing everything in its power to outsource its wide body international flying.

Delta actually has a larger widebody fleet than American and higher profit margins(plus the pilots get a larger share of those profits).

Delta has 157 widebodies and 670 narrowbodies

American has 146 widebodies and 798 narrowbodies

I think his point is that Delta is moving away from that flying and that in the future, when we would possibly have that opportunity, that it may not be there.

With 54 more widebodies coming fast and only 9 planned retirements.

This, to be exact. Delta has made it very clear that they ultimately plan to move away from international wide body flying with Delta pilots.

There are no plans to move away. They plan a substantial increase in widebody hours over the next 4 years. Forum hysteria is seldom fact.
One thing Delta has been doing is matching capacity to demand. That is why they are generating the large revenue premium over other airlines. In turn that is allowing them to rapidly pay down debt. When the next downturn comes the airlines with the least debt will furlough the fewest pilots.
