Oh I know... And that was my response. That and if you do the math and estimate it takes another 2 years from present time to upgrade, you'll be making year 4 or 5 CA pay at PSA. The financial difference is actually pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things and you would be giving up seniority as well as being on reserve a long time at PDT. They are experiencing this year what PSA experienced in 2014. It will slow for PDT soon enough.

The potential money to be made is far far far higher than just having 150% for picking up a day off.
And it will never be run properly again. Enjoy!

To who?

What about those who actually live in the bases PSA has to offer?

Pretty straightforward...or so I thought.
... and that's what you get for thinking...

There is no such thing in this business.

Yes dash will park... at a slower rate than they are getting 145s. Net aircraft change is growth... and more growth than any airline by % of fleet.

This makes no sense...

If you have 1000 121 and 2500 total you upgrade right away at PDT
Upgrade is growing to 3 years at PSA. Gojet has the second quickest CA upgrade I thought and Expressjet being the longest.

Flow time from 0 to AA is much faster at PDT (done via math). Next is PSA and Envoy. Id prefer Envoy over PSA.

Piedmont offers 300% open time right now for trips and sometimes 400% How can you NOT make more money at Piedmont?! Picking up one day is easily a $1000 as a first officer. PSA does have that contract loop-hole but the company is constantly fighting the union about it. I dont know if that would last much longer. Go jet is also now offering 300%.

What reserve time are you referring to at Piedmont? They are short staffed and flying everyone. You get your base of choice within a month (according to recruiters) and they say soon you'll be able to hire into the 145.

s

short lived since the dash will be parked whether fast or slow rate, in the end it will be a reduction in fleet size.

You'd like that but I'm afraid that won't be the case.

That 300% is actually 300% of min day added ON TOP of what the trip pays. So 300 in most cases is or is close to 400. For example, a 2 hour turn at 300% premium would be 4 hours min day + 12 hours premium pay. Not bad for a turboprop.

Heard one guy got approved for 600 but I don't know if that is actually true or just pilot rumor. Also heard LH wants to get rid of the premium pay so enjoy it while it lasts!
