Too bad many FOs won't be able to do that unless they live off of their spouse or parents. Second year pay rate at 65 is about $1700/month net take home pay and the bonus is something you won't see in every paycheck. That bonus money should of been put towards higher FO pay rates, not a temp. quarterly payout. Poor FOs need cashflow.

While I'd agree with you that once their first decision was made the MEC should've held thier ground, your supposition is only true if attrition improves moving forward. I don't think we have enough data in that yet, and there are still several other regionals that are paying more.

The only thing I'm not happy about regarding the bonus is that it wasn't enough for our FO's. The reason the MEC took it is that they finally realized there was nothing else coming. What is this leverage some speak of? Our true leverage keeps getting signed away with LOA's.
