The union signed off on a MAXIMUM of 6 seconds per trade, that is not what is happening.

I put in a trade about 10 seconds into the last SAP, it didn't get approved until past 8pm. There were not 1800 trades put in before mine.........

Back when PSA was only about 400-500 pilots, did SAP work better?

Now there is an excellent idea.

The negotiating committee brought the program to the company and said it was the one they wanted.

Can you swap days off while on reserve? Is there a minimum guarantee days off per month?

God yes, when the contract was first signed and SAP was implemented it took an average of a few seconds to be denied or approved. It was an amazing tool. My opinion is that now that more people are using the SAP it is just over loaded. Also, I had heard rumors that SAP and Crew trac were tied together somehow and when Crew Trac went away that started the downward spiral. It was a coincidence but who knows if it's true. All this could be avoided if they (American or PSA) would invest the money in perfecting our software. We all know that will never happen.

Hey F50.....Yes, you can swap reserve days for days off you need as long as you do not go below your min days off of 11. But, bear in mind that swapping your reserve days does depend on the reserve grid. If the particular day you want to trade is below reserve coverage for that day then it will not get approved. The reserve grid used to be somewhat accurate but the company does manipulate it to their advantage to prevent days from going critical.

Cause computers respond with "don't exist" and "nice try." Fool. You are uninformed and happily carrying the company water once again. I'm still waiting for a name........

Actually, you could tell a computer to respond any way you want to.

That said, I certainly fall into the camp that there's some behind the scenes shenanigans going on, in addition to the entire system just being a piece of crap.

Though, I've been able to get that piece of crap to to give me what I needed, most days.

Yes, computers are simply I/O devices and can spit out anything they are programmed to regurgitate. Hopefully, the built product uses proper grammar and spelling. Based on our own company and our media relations person, that's potentially not the case here or at Sabre.
