We're discussing the merits of certain cities. I said with stable income and education you can make any city work. I stand by that statement as income and education in the US typically make a city more manageable and livable. You can be happy in any situation, but that's not what we're discussing.

Research skills this basic go back to 5th grade, CB. Try not to come into a conversation in which you have not fully investigated.

If you were offered a job with East Hampton Airlines in East Hampton NY, for 16k/yr, but had to live within 10 mins of HTO and on-call 24/7, would you consider that you get to live in the 'Beverly Hills' of the East Coast a "merit"?
Would you be able to live in the HTO area on a 16k/yr salary?

Seeing as how you didn't make the original claim, you have no idea what source they used. That's precisely why you didn't need to add your two cents when someone else was asked a question. All you did was start a tangent and then accuse someone else of derailing the thread. You think you found it.

Why so you can start a new argument? I don't care what others feel are "merits" for a city. Your original statement about merits being subjective is spot on. The rest of the train wreck you created was not necessary.
