Since May I've got a junior man call nearly every set of days off. I'd estimate 1/2 are CDOs.

The new commuter hotel policy is worthless.
Any crewmember commuting to an assignment under the terms of this program must be listed as a non- revenue passenger, revenue passenger, or a combination thereof, on at least two (2) flights with available seats no more than forty-eight (48) hours, but not less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the scheduled departure time of the flight that he/she expects to use to commute to work. Such non- revenue listing may be on-line; or on Code Sharing partners; or off line with acceptable documentation.
So if you have a 6 am flight most likely you will not be able to have two flights from home 24 hours prior. You will need to come in two days prior and use two hotel days for one trip. If you drive in you don't even qualify for the program.
It's a nice recruiting tool but good luck using it in its current form.

Huh?? If you have a 0600 flight, you commute in the night before, sleep at the hotel, and get up and go fly. Where do you get two days beforehand?

I think reading comprehension skills might be missing here.

What it says is that you must list for two flights that have open seats 24 hours before their departure.

So, you would have to commute in the night before for a 6am show. That is correct. But, if you commute, do not bid for shows this early.

You are mixing language from 2 separate sections of the commuter clause. One does not have anything to do with the other.

Can you list for two flights 24 hours prior from home on the day prior if you have a 6am flight. So 6am on July 1 you need two flights on the 30th prior to 6am on the 30th but not prior to 48 hour which would be 6am on the 29th.

You have to list for them 24-48 hours ahead of time. Not flights that start 24-48 prior to your show.
