And if processing times are over 30 minutes, it is broken. That is not "real time". SAP is borderline useless. I can not believe that the union is not jumping up and down and screaming about it. I guess that just goes to show you that our MEC has caved in and is just doing whatever the company wants now.

Why are we wasting time and money on this new "negotiating committee"? I have seen that they have been receiving compensation for missed flights for this negotiating training. That is our money that is wasted on the ridiculous idea that the company is going to increase the flow.

Hopefully their training gets put to good use.

I've heard there has been a lot of mixed reviews on PSA's training program. Is PSA's training program AQP at this time? If it is AQP, does it follow the 2 sim session maneuver validation and LOFT or the more traditional ATP checkride format?

PSA is not using AQP at this time. I was told that August or September is when it will start. And it will be maneuvers/LOFT over a two day sim session.

It is currently not AQP, but AQP has been approved and they are starting to roll it our soon.

It will be standard AQP, with the 2 session, as you would expect.

The training department is pretty good at PSA. There are some really good guys in the department. I have never seen anyone failed that did not deserve to fail. Also, the company will not hesitate to give you an extra couple of sim sessions if you are progressing well but just need a little extra help.

Welcome to the cost of having a union which is much better than not paying union dues and having no legal representation at all. How much more do you think you would complain if we had no union and the company was free to change policies whenever? So you are saying we don't need a NC? A couple of years of 121 time and you are just now learning of FPL for union members? Go to SKW if you are tired of paying ALPA dues or volunteer to join the union since you have all the answers.

I am saying that our contract is in place for another 8 years, and that we have absolutely nothing to negotiate until then. The company does not have anything to "negotiate" with us regarding the flow. They will tell us what they will give us, and that is it.

The last MEC disbanded the NC, and for good cause. It is simply not needed right now. It is a waste of money. Use that money for something that helps the pilots. Informational picketing is a good start. Use the money for that. Send out mailers telling people how PSA continually violates our contract, shorts us in pay, and treats us poorly.

If there is something that is to be negotiated, then our MEC is lying to us and hiding it from us. If this is the case, then I am even more ashamed of them.

I have only flown for ALPA carriers, and support ALPA. It is our weak MEC that I have a problem with.

I'm on second year pay. I could go to Skywest and get a pay raise while not even including their signing bonus. If I wasn't a line holder I wouldn't hesitate to leave.

In my opinion, after 10 years of being an ALPA member, this MEC is not weak. I think a lot of you are more upset with the system that is rigged against unions (remember that next time you head to the voting booth) where companies can violate contracts for years with no recourse until an arbitrator makes them stop. That isn't ALPA's fault, it is our fault for placing anti union representatives in office that won't change the RLA to give us leverage. Until then most of us agreed to work for PSA under contract 2013 for at least 10 years, anything that can be negotiated and improved upon prior to that is more than we signed on for and I support our NC. If it is really that bad for some of you maybe another carrier would make you happier. In just the past year we have made improvements including getting a true flow, commuter hotels, and AAG has given us ipads and profit sharing. Let the new NC actually do their job with support from us, not having a NC is a ridiculous idea. Why should we turn down improvements just because they aren't good enough for you? Why did you agree to work under C2013 in the first place? Sounds like buyers remorse.

If it would make you happier than go for it! I've switched regionals before and it ended up being a good move for me. Sounds like you could be an instant line holder at SKW in DTW or MSP, if you live west coast it might not be a bad move for your QOL.

You sound just like that "Excel" hack on the BS Lounge.
