I would also think a line holding year 2 FO on the 190 would make as much or more than a year 2 reserve 320 guy while getting more days off...at least until we decouple the pay rates. And reserve time fluctuates, I don't think reserve will stay 1.5-2 years on the bus. But who knows.

There is nothing in our FSM or whatever we are bound by now, prohibiting 50% reserve coverage. Maybe even 75%.

Don't line divisors determine roughly how many people will be on RSV in a given month? Or how more senior people bid?

EX...High line divisor coupled with few senior people bidding min credit = more RSVs.

Don't we complain when we don't have enough reserves?? "If I was running this company we'd have enough Reserves for the apocalypse...They don't know what they're doing here!!"

This. Line divisors were around 77-79 for a busy travel month, so it doesn't seem too shady. If divisors were above 90 to augment reserve coverage, then that's a different story.

Quote: Exactly, this is why 90% of the time you'll have much faster seniority progression by choosing the 190 on Day 1. Hang out on the 190 for 2 years and then go to the Bus if you can hold a line. Most BOS 190 FOs I know come close to 50% seniority in base after 2 years. Pretty freakin awesome.
