Quote: It's already happened in Mesa history
And history is repeating itself. Just like the last time Mesa grew over 1000 pilots they soon crumbled down to 600 and lost flying (200's) though. I keep saying it. It's the beginning of the end. Look at all the (incentives) to keep their flying schedules, vacation buyback, sick time buyback, perfect attendance, 200% all pilots all bases on certain days. It's gonna get ugly when the junior assigning starts happening.

All that promises is that they don't attempt to JRA. You never have to accept a JRA anyway unless you're willing to be "available." So I agree bidding golden days is necessary, but being "unavailable" for a JRA can never warrant disiplinary action.

Crew Tracking has already been calling people on Golden Days, as late as last week .. I was called, but did not respond to the voicemail. Humorous to listen to, just the same. (PHX/FO)

Npt Drivel
Not drivel. I came here because easy commute and easy 1000 hours 121 time which is what I needed to be looked at by a major. I had 6000+ hours when I came here but with no military/nor heavy jet time. I was shunned until a major airline recruiter called me and said we love to have you just need 121 time to check that box. I came here knowing the reputation of the company and I came here very biased against it. But I will tell you something since I've been here I've learned alot. I have flown with some great crews and learned that it's not the pilots that make mesa suck, it's the upper management which we all ***** about on here. So I just have to reiterate that. For those with been here for a while you will agree with me Mesa is a gold mine as far as the pilot group goes it's just upper management that makes it suck it here. I've flown with the so called hard ass es in DC and Phoenix and in my opinion even those guys were fine and I liked them, just super standard in the cockpit and I'm fine with because so am I 98% percent...ok 95% of the time lol. I actually like it here because of the pilot group.
I'm not a DUI guy, a multiple check ride failure, bad pilot, or whatever some of you may class me as since I decided to come to Mesa it for the purposes of getting time and go somewhere else plus closest base to where I live. BUT like I said I discovered awesome group of guys and girls that work here. Just need to get rid of/change our Phoenix leadership

Yes, there is a bad regional airline. It is Mesa. Seriously.

No one goes to Mesa unless they can't go elsewhere, or they are new to the industry and don't know any better.

Quote: There is one rumor (as in: not a fact, and likely far from the truth) saying that when United was looking for a home for some of the E-175 originally destined for Republic, SkyWest told United that they would not only take those airplanes, but also finance them if United also transferred to them all of Mesa's E-175s. Back then Mesa was only operating 30 E-175s, all owned by United. Supposedly, that is the reason Mesa had to scramble to finance the additional airframes in spite of allegedly being "broke."

I believe that is what 20sx was referring to.
Thank you Santos, that's what I'm referring to.

I wish you guys all the best on Friday. I wish I could be there, but I have other commitments. I was glad to see it in the ALPA daily, regionals don't get much coverage there. Stay safe and fair skys.

Good luck ever getting more money if you're company can still fill classes.
