Quote: It was funny when someone told me that our pay raise was not happening because we’re doing good as company. Haha. I just hope lts another fake rumor.
It's really not funny because Envoy, and by extension AAG, has zero incentive to pay a dime more than they have to so long as bodies keep coming through the door. Anecdotal evidence from glancing around the training center suggests that recruiting isn't struggling. Couple that with meeting AAG's cult of D-0, and our pay and contract will never see change. As unimpressive as SkyWest's TA is in this environment, maybe it will benefit us by impacting recruiting.

Quote: Per the contract, the pilot group sees an increase each year of 1% of the total cost of the insurance until we get to the point where we’re paying for 35% of the total cost. We will see the 1% increase each year through 2020.
The 1% increase applies to the percentage of the premium cost that we pay, not the premium increase. If the total annual premium for an employee is $1000 then @ 34% our portion would be $340 with an increase to $350 with a 1% increase. But if the annual premium goes to $2000 annually, our payment would be $700 @ 35% (1% increase).

The devil is in the details (and the math)!

Quote: The wild card are the transstates planes. RW’s email suggests that PDT will continue to take 145’s, realistically they can’t even staff what they’ve got.

If I was to bet, I would say DFW and ORD 145 lines increase as projected to some degree, LGA shrinks a little but not as much as predicted given TSA flying disappearing and PDT not like my able to staff more airframes.
According to our company Piedmont is very close to being properly staffed as soon as the training back log is taken care of which is improving. Still lots of different numbers being thrown out on how many jets we’ll end up with. I’ve heard everything from 60 to 130

Can PDT realistically staff 30 more jets over the next 3-6 months?

Yes, time permitting.

They’ve been bringing guys/gals back down after recurrent for 1 day, just for right seat qualification.
