I assumed people would still leave for FedEx/UPS/atlas etc. but that is way higher than I thought

Edit to what amcnd said, 80-100 a month was kinda normal, Jan and feb of 2020 seemed higher than that even.

Attrition bouncing around 25% of pre-covid has been unexpected.

The “company” will be smaller. More automated less support staff... but aircraft wise will be the same..Pilot staffing will need to hover around where it is now. With 20-30 people leaving a month that works for staffing until next summer schedule.. I see March classes in our future, to top off before summer 2021 flying starts..

I thought it was curious a year ago that the express jet VP of flight ops came over to be VP of airports. By outward appearances that was a big time for express jet. I’m guessing this has been in the works for a year. Announcing this on a random Monday night before the call seems funny though. Or they could have been waiting for a big down day for the stock to piggy back the news. Either way I’m hoping for the best and curious which c-suite MT will pop up again in.

Wouldn’t aircraft and pilot demand potentially be smaller too? If the legacy that contracts out flying to a regional is smaller, wouldn’t their scope language mean that available flying at the regional level is also smaller?
