Expect IAH, DFW, or DEN. Although once they fill the gaps in those vacancies it may change.

When I came on-board the company was setting aside interview and class spots specifically for Compass pilots whom were likely (likely at that time) losing their seat.....
My class was 2/3 long term cadets types and 1/3 street hires from various backgrounds. My guess is you get a spot at the table right away. Hope so.

There is 200ish currently getting callbacks who are employees sent home from training.
When the door gets cracked open with an application window, kick it wide open!

Come here. I seriously hope you get bumped above the CFI CJOs/cadets. Makes way too much financial sense to have you here with an ATP in hand.

Why? It’s the same exact training footprint no? If they make them all get CTP own their own at least. Seriously don’t understand the CFI hate. And the cadets who demonstrated interest in the company for years are supposed to get bumped by someone who just needs a job now? They all worked hard too. Were the CFIs supposed to know a once in a decade crash was coming and buy their ATP when they were being handed out? I seriously don’t understand the hate on people who didn’t have the benefit to be as far along as others when it all hit the fan. Get over yourselves, you’re not a god with a 145 type.

Agreed. The information I received from the training department is that they would be bringing people back in order of class date and honoring the CJOs before any one else.

But, the odds of someone passing training whose already been through 121 training and has hundreds of not thousands of hours in a jet is much greater than a CFI whose been tooling around in the pattern for a thousand hours. Once someone is hired the airline wants them to pass training with as few hours as possible, while still making sure they’re safe and meeting standards.

Pre-covid OO filled classes with cadet CFIs AND immediate street hires. Mil, Compass, Trans State, etc. So it shall be again.

Totally agree!
I think some are forgetting they started out as a low time pilot one day as well and someone trusted them and gave them a chance.
Is a former 121 pilot more qualified than a CFI? Of course but there's no need to look down on someone else like that.
Some of the CFIs who have been waiting for a year now, have gotten laid off as well, so it's not only the compass/ express jet guys.
There is some value in the cadets and applicants with CJOs who have been patiently waiting and have been loyal to OO.
