From what I heard, drop an email to your HR person every once in awhile and remind them you have an unrestricted ATP and your ready to go. Best

Staffing on the CRJ is critically low. OO is hiring 160/mo. to stop the bleeding but it takes time to get everyone out on the line. The Big Three have only just started to spool up their hiring vacuums. Once they really get going OO will loose far more pilots than they can hire. Max credit, Min rest, min days off will be the norm unless something unforeseen happens.

Hello all,
New to the forum. Just wanted to see if anyone had some advice. Currently have a start date at Skywest second week of October. Also, received a job offer flying Hawker 800s for a reputable charter company. This will be my first jet job, and am torn between the two. I’m not sure what style of flying I like more and that’s why this decision is so tough. Does anyone have any experience going from regional to charter or vice versa if they don’t like the style of flying they are doing? If I don’t like charter, would I be starting where I am now going to a regional or does that experience help in upgrading sooner if I do go back to a regional? Any advice is appreciated.

Regional to charter is easy…
Charter to regional is a little more difficult just bc of the time / hoops involved.
I’d start at Skywest first, seniority is everything.

Which pays more?
which has the best career implications?
Which has the better qol?
Are you conflicted because you want to do (experience) one but the answer to the three questions is the other?
(Rhetorical questions to be answered introspectively. )
