Quote: I viewed the letter of authorization and regs, but I want to make sure I interpret this correctly. Can my time in a RedBird AATD count towards the 1500 hours total time for an ATP? I have 10.9 hours in a RedBird towards an instrument rating as part of a Part 141 course.
You can't use an AATD to log total time. See AC 61-136B, Appendix D.

Part 141 AATD time counts toward the 1,500 hours required for an ATP but should not be logged under “flight time”.

61.159 (a)(6) states: Not more than 100 hours of the total aeronautical experience requirements of paragraph (a) of this section or §61.160 may be obtained in a full flight simulator or flight training device provided the device represents an airplane and the aeronautical experience was accomplished as part of an approved training course in parts 121, 135, 141, or 142 of this chapter.

Anyone know what's going on with all the TRG's on the gone list?

1/2 the “gone” from training have cadet type employee numbers….not that a cadet can’t fail out but I think it’s more to the point of why would they come here when they can go to a WO.

So if a person (cadet or otherwise) had a CJO and a class date, would they be moved to the gone list if they either didn't show up or declined their CJO?

If I'm understanding this, it would confirm the thought/likelihood that people are getting 2-5 CJOs and just taking whatever one has the soonest class date or highest bonus (in the case of the WO).

I though TRG's didn't get on the pilot seniority list until class? Why would they be gone if the didn't show?

It’s my understanding you’re not TRG holding a seniority number until INDOC so…

That’s a good point. I guess I’m biased that no-shows are going to climb with what others are offering. I’m also unable to believe that many people are certificated pilots yet can’t pass some of the best training flying modern equipment with auto pilots, flight directors, giant moving maps in a dual crew environment. There has to be something else.

Also: I thought you were assigned a base around the end of systems, why wouldn’t their assigned base be on the seniority list?

What’s the actual name of this “gone list”?
