Makes zero sense why landing in a 700/900 sim wouldnt renew your landing currency. You ARE typed in a 700/900 and it is nothing different as far as type/class/category. There has to be some sort of deep reason why they are requiring another sim session for you to start your IOE. I am about 90% sure it isn't because of a FAR.

Well, I mean I think there’s our answer. That’s why they were giving some guys short 200 trips in advance of their actual ioe. Iv also spoken to the training manager about lack of consolidation. Fortunately, the training we do isn’t the checkrides all over again. It’s basically a sim session that’s train to proficiency on your MV. That will reset your landing currency and buy you 120 more days of pre-retirement.

Correct. But based off what Iv been able to put together, it appears as though they are applying dequaling from a landing perspective to the same as dequaling from a consolidation perspective. Which I could see making sense. Haven’t flown the plane for real and fell out of landing currency…. Can’t imagine the FAA loving that.

00 wants to dump the EAS flying (that they are contracted to fly) to go after other flying at a lower price and basically undercutting all of the other Regional Flying. Because they are having staffing issues and cannot seem to get people in the door because of LO PAY? 00 is also lowering everyone else’s pay buy trying a stunt like this….Glad the transportation Sec said “um No!”

As long as you're researching things, read the transcripts for the last two quarterly financial results call for SkyWest. They've been talking about trimming the pro-rate side of the operation for a bit and for those who have been paying attention, this move wasn't a real surprise. For that matter, it's been brought up here on APC many times about how smaller cities will lose service as 50 seaters go away and as the pilot shortage continue.
