Default Ground school delay

Word on the street is that the ERJ class in Indoc will delay their ground school until "after April" due to lack of instructors and check airmen.

I wouldn’t doubt it. Positive cases are running rampant through the school house right now.

Can confirm, I was part of the 12/14 CRJ Ground and they passed out COVID tests at the GV. The next day, 10/30 tested positive and many more including myself were exposed. All who tested positive have had their Procedures Training delayed and their entire sim schedules potentially unscheduled, especially those in sims in DEN and SLC.

The ATL and CVG folks are lucky since we have a 2 week gap between PT and MT. Stay healthy out there folks, your training depends on it

I’m here for career mentoring and new to the industry, I have only GA experience prior to having just flown two trips with OO out of ORD(DOH SEP2021) and now received a offer from 9E.

Pro’s to switching-
Home base ATL for QOL (eventually)
Positive Space commute for now
Training Completion bonus
Higher Pay now and top of scale sooner if we get stuck where we are.

Con’s to switching-
Having to explain it at an interview though it isn’t hard to justify
Missing out on coast to coast flying for the next 3 years
Seniority restarts but at my DOH the rate of hire not a concern

I’m not knowledgeable enough on unions to say thats a pro but seems like it is.
Look forward to everyone’s thoughts and guidance.
I don’t work for either of these carriers, but generally making lateral moves isn’t great for the résumé. ATL-ORD seems like your easiest commute, SkyWest is a good company, I’d say stay.

Almost everyone on here will tell you not to leave and go to another regional. And there's good reasons for that. You should definitely stay at OO, fly your butt off, upgrade and move on. The fastest way to get to a major is where you currently are so stay the route.

Stay, fly as much as you can, and start working on apps at your career airline. You could be at Delta in a couple years.

And don't forget there's a rumor going around of opening up ATL again. LOL

Incentive Bonuses? How about a pay raise and overall QOL improvements.

You will make it to DL faster if you stay at OO. Another unnecessary training cycle will just put you behind in the hours you need to move on.

Ditto. Pay is so far behind at this point. First year at anywhere else is a wash, after that you're way ahead.
