Yup I think furloughs, if they even happen, are a ways off yet. Long term VTO and the new part time program haven’t even made it out to the pilot group yet. Will be a number of months before they know demand for the future and number of pilots who will be taking these deals.

The WARN notices everyone is worried about is a 60 day notice. You only saw them if the company wanted to pull the trigger 1 October. If SkyWest wants to take a month or two and survey the carnage before they decide, they are in a financial position to do it.

When the airlines hit their second round of furloughs, SkyWest really won't have a choice because everyone shrinks with the current scope clauses.

How much and in what way do regionals (who ever is actually even left standing) shrink? Is it seat removal thing or actual parking of airplanes? Have heard people say it’s one or the other or both now.

Anyone know what the clauses are for each partner and when it actually would kick in?
I wonder if other company closures will offset any scope requirements, if a partner closes up and fleet is parked at that time it would prevent another airline parking theirs I assume. I would take a guess it’s a UAX/DC/AE wide requirement and not regional specific.

no worries. It’s a message board, things don’t always come through as intended.

The whole industry will collapse next year. Middle to late next year. As it implodes, the government will step in and regulate. Who is left standing will be a mixture of the old legacy’s, ULCs and some LLCs. Regionals will cease to exist. That would be a pretty good assessment of what is coming in my opinion.

I mean, sure, why not? You were spot on with your prediction of the market crash being only "weeks away" back in April.

Pilots at Southwest, how is it?
