The vote doesn't open for a week. Next week will be the tell tell sign of how it will go down… Factor in the 401k improvement. If we want $200hr. We may loose out on something. Thats the only kicker Mesa pay, is only pay.. no other contract stuff… Lets see how they handle this..

They would be dumb to take things away imo, check their financial report. They have the money to do it, they are just stingy and we need to force their hands.

it’s temporary. Mesa TA buys them maybe 2 years whereas the Skywest TA bought them 2.5 years, enough to wind down the operation completely. With the new Mesa TA, it is more in line with UAs plan to wind down UAX flying by 2024 and so Skywest will now need to quicken their dissolution timeline to complete the shutdown target goal sooner, more in line with the other regionals who are in liquidation mode.

UAX isn’t going away, just shrinking. The 145’s and 200’s are being phased out, but the 175’s and possibly the 550’s aren’t going away any time soon.

Didn't Mesa recently renew their 175 flying for UA for 12 years?

Wait a minute now, it’s not like ALPA representation did anything to start the upward movement of pay at the regional level. The first shoe that dropped was AA greenlighting pay increases to slow he unsustainable attrition of the Captain and senior FO ranks…

If I recall, it’s BB at Republic holding out and not the IBT….

So facts matter, we had the pay new rates at SkyWest sent to SAPA by management in June, 3 days later AA dropped those pay rates to the WO’s their publicly, no vote was conducted by those ALPA regionals. SAPA sent the first contract from June back to management with QOL improvements. A few months later, which was a few days ago SkyWest dropped their TA with QOL improvements the a day later Mesa dropped their new pay rates.

What I believe we are witnessing is pattern bargaining initiated by Management groups because regionals will fail and one(s) left still standing will have monopoly.
