They "negotiated" the pay rates for them a couple of years ago when management said they wanted rates for them. That triggered section 23 of our contract that basically says they negotiate pay and work rules for 30 days and if there is no agreement it goes to arbitration. The arbitrator ruled and the rates are part of that ruling. The rates are $2 more than our 145 rates along with the other work rules (mainly PBS) that came about with that ruling. So yes, if they wanted to place those aircraft at LXJT, they can easily do it.

Yes but we all know it's not just the rates. We have superior work rules in almost all aspects of your work rules including better 401k matching, a company contribution on top of that, better insurance cost sharing, and better insurance overall. The arbitrator looked at all rates and work rules and made his determination that we only needed $2 more per hour to be in the average with everyone else.
This is what I've been advocating for YEARS! It's not just pay rates. Those are just multiplier of the work rules. That's why I continue to post our work rules so that people have a reference to compare to. And there are places like awac and horizon who arguably have better contract rules than we do.
I'll happy post the work rules here for comparison.

Just to add to that, I was at the MEC meeting when JA told us they wanted us to take a 16% concession just to bring us to parity with Skywest pilots. Those where his words, not mine.
$11 more an hour is $11,000 a year based on the 1000 hours almost every pilot will assuredly hit. That's not with any consideration of credit or soft time. The "other" things you mentioned would have to be significant.

They are significant. We are talking about more than $11k difference here. Hence, JA's 16% request.
So what you are saying is XJT is more expensive than OO in every way. That's not necessarily a great position to be in.
