Is it in fact possible to live on 1824$ a month in any of the cities SW has bases? I too thought of applying but whoa! Subtract medical insurance, taxes of course and the DAL, if you get them, pass fees.

It's 24$ an hour with a reserve guarantee of 76 hrs + 1824$. 80 hours is 1920$

Nothing against the people who post on here but the reason Skywest is having trouble getting good people is the pay!

Not according to TG, if you meet the mins, you are in. Pulse, mirror, seniority number, keeping it might be a little tougher.

Most regionals are about the same for first year our second year pay makes up for it.

Not to mention if the pay package that was voted down is anything to go by then FOs at Skywest will be paid the best. They will find a way in short order to increase the FO pay for first and second years even if it means circumnavigating the agreement. Management knows it needs
To be be done and they've shown they are willing to foot the bill.

What are the chances of a new hire getting Den or SLC on either Aircraft.

You'll be in DEN or SLC within a month of being on the line. My roommate has one month in COS next month (and he's not even done with IOE yet) and then he'll be in denver.

Telling guys they'll be in SLC within a month of being on the line is not cool. That's not good info and it takes a while in some situations to get into SLC.

Why is SLC such a popular base? Is it because it's so centralized and easy to commute to?
