They have early departures on regional aircraft into hubs so that the regional aircraft can feed mainline's planes in the hub. They only need that many seats for the first couple days. By week 2 the 108 will be down to a manageable 70-80. Lost 6 or 7 out of TRG last week alone.

6 or 7 in a week? To other airlines, or are that many guys washing out?

We lost 1 guy in training. Went to Frontier. Amazingly enough, 15 months later, nearly my entire new hire class is still at OO.

I usually give my self twoflights. Where I live there are 3 flights that get into my base early in the day. On Saturdays I usually give myself 1 flight as the schedule on Delta is so reduced. I have never had any commuting issues since I have been here.
