Lets just say that I was more than 10 spots away from the 97 lines for the bid. Assigned as single trip. Found out just now that there were only 76 actual lines made out of the 97 crew lines shown.. Soo.. yeah would have been nice to know and cant figure why its shown like that as thats pretty damn misleading but yeah whatever. Im gonna go get ****ed off now

will have to read up on it but i just interpret it as rsv with a trip assigned which now suddenly makes it composite.. the fury comes from why they list for instance 97 lines when there are really only 76 which takes away the ability to bid a reserve line and use any type of seniority one would have since basically composite = rsv.

Nothing takes away your ability to bid a reserve line. If your on the cusp of being a targeted line holder (or not a guaranteed line holder) and you would rather have a full line than roll the dice with a composite line, you should have done so. There is nothing stopping you.

I think I remember hearing at one time that they have to award all the reserve lines first. So all 48 reserve lines are awarded then they start awarding the trips. The conspiracy theorist in me wants to say that they wanted to hold out some trips to award to all those reserve lines and maybe there wasn't enough credit to award as many lines? It does seem odd to me that for the past couple months our lines have been out by the 18th and this one seemed to take a little longer.
Or it could be they messed with the parameters for some of the TAFB credit ratio stuff that was added for January and it didn't work right. Not that we will ever know. They will just fix the one or two here and there and pretend nothing happened. It does make me feel better to see on the SAPA forums that everyone else is getting screwed and burned out as well.

Thats exactly the point is that I was not on the CUSP nor was anyone else sub 95 or so as there were 97 lines in the bid. After # 81 only composites lines were awarded. 76 lines in fact though were all that was setup for holding actual lines.. So instead of them letting everyone who is past 76 bid for a rsv line they created the illusion that just like in previous months if you are well within the bidded lines you would hold one..

I understand how it can be misleading. However in the PBS page on SWOL if you check "Bid Information" it shows the targeted vs the guaranteed lines. If you fall within the last bit of seniority then it should be something to expect. But like someone said earlier, since you were assigned one trip it's like you've broken guarntee so now every thing you fly on your reserve day over 4:12 is on top.
