Oh, and you also never filled us in on the rest of the story about San Fran and the reserve debacle. We're still waiting on that one. Time to put up or shut up.

Do all CRJ pilots get qualified on the 700s and 900s?

CRJ pilots fly the 200, 700, & 900. Used to be some bases didn't get 700/900 qualified but they all are now even if trips on the larger airplanes don't originate out of that domicile.

You generally do initial IOE on the 200 and then a line check on the 700/900 so you may spend a few weeks as a "200 only" pilot. Or you'll fly the 700/900 in initial, it varies.

I can't divulge company sensitive information over social media. Sorry. I never have. I never will. All you need to know is, it goes much higher than you, me, CC, or even JA. Good enough?

But they can replace them with, for example, a 170 outfitted with exactly 69 seats. Like Compass already does. Correct? Thank you.

And I didn't run. I'm still here. I just have a life, so I don't sit here all day waiting for some pilot who just had someone on his jumpseat say blah, blah, blah so it must be true, just so I can get my jollies.

This whole stupid ass argument stems from the FACT that Delta has more room to wiggle on its express fleet than United does at this very point in time, and for the foreseeable future. End of story.

I bet it is not financially worth it to replace the 70 seaters with 76 seaters at this point in time.

The company put more people on reserve to save money on cancellation pay.
That was an internal company decision, I don't know what "much higher outside influences" would have to do with that. Implying that people/groups "above" the owner/CEO of the company are coming in to make mundane business decisions seems a little irrational.

Indeed it was. Sure, it may have been United who asked us to trim the schedule, but it was SkyWest who decided to put everyone back on reserve. He doesn't get it. He just sits down in SGU and thinks that everything is going to be okay. He can't see the writing on the wall.

Delta prefers the CRJ900 over the 175 anyways... it has lower operating costs.

LOL they are not going to replace anything with a 69 seat 170. Sorry... nobody has ordered additional 175-100 (170) as the economics of the plane don't make sense. Delta may have a little bit of room, but that means absolutely NOTHING to SkyWest.
