Yeah I figured that's what was happening. If I have to go to ORD for 6 months then so be it. I'll get IAH eventually I guess.

IAH hasn't seen very many pilots getting awards for it in the last 5-6 months. Additionally the standing bid list has a number of pilots wanting to transfer/transition in to it. If that's where you want to be take the CRJ, but it might be a wait to get it.

I'm expecting the same thing for SFO with the ERJ, but it'll happen eventually.

Everything posted here is relative to a moments glimpse in time. If you are on the ERJ, you will have a few moments in the sun and will progressively slide backwards in seniority. CRJ guys will have their moments as well, until the EMB guys transition over the next 6 months. The reality is, unless the hiring continues, reserve will be your curse for awhile. The ACA question still lingers, what's happening? As they fly more UAL stuff, every issue that plagued the RSA/GoJet single carrier petition quest recedes into the background. If the single carrier petition happens, today's newhires will be on reserve for awhile.
Good luck, we are all gonna need it.....

I take everything with a grain of salt, but interviewees were told they're wanting to run classes of 70 indefinitely. I thought 40 was a lot. Can't imagine 70.

Maybe 70 a month including all the 120 transitions. SKW is starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel in getting qualified applicants through the door (including all other regionals). I highly doubt they will be able to get 70 new hires a month, unless they drop their standards down to nothing.

40 of them will be covering attrition, so a net 30 increase.

The most I had seen was 60 a month. Doubtful we have enough sim time for those numbers, but time will tell. The training dept is made up of line pilots, their information is just a little less stale than ours, and there is always the Mitch L. factor, 74's for DAL?

Strangely not til 2016. We have two already but for some reason the rest don't come til 2016.
