Denver you will have to wait for a while. You could get Colorado Springs pretty quick, if not right out of the gate, as a newhire.

Not sure if you have looked at the latest standing bid list, but people have been awarded DEN after 1 month on the line.

He wasn't flame baiting as much as pointing out there's lots of room for improvement at SkyWest!

Right now we are short pilots in ORD on the ERJ. It would not take long to be off of reserve as a newhire. Add to that, once they open DEN as an ERJ base ORD will again be short.
When is den supposed to open?

Default job offer

Hey guys, I was offered a position! either the ERJ (Dec 28th class) or CRJ (Dec 29th class)
I live in Sacramento, and heard that the ERJ is opening an SFO base. Would it be wise to just avoid the ERJ though? thinking i would be eternally Reserve out of ORD.
Do you guys think the CRJ might be quicker in pulling a line out of either SFO or FAT?
As much as I would like to fly the ERJ, the CRJ looks like it might provide better QoL.
What do you guys think?
Either way, looking forward to joining the team!

CRJ is probably a better QOL until you get some seniority.

Guys are holding a line out of training in Chicago in the ERJ for now, will change probably as they catch up on classes and IF guys from the Brazillia transition over. SFO is just opening on ERJ side, theres no idea how big it will be plus theres a big change going on with the Bro officially going away. I think the CRJ gives more options for you with regards to commutable bases. Theres 62 ppl as line holders on the CRJ and I would guess the most junior of that has been here two years at least, where as theres some pretty new hires that got SFO on the ERJ. The questions are how big will SFO be and how many ppl from the BRO will go there on the ERJ side...Unfortunately no one knows the answers to that, at least on the CRJ you can get answers and theres more options, COS is junior, LAX and SFO are also options. Worst case you can change after a year. LAX is junior as can be at Compass, just saying.

That has nothing to do with who understands PBS though. I think it's universally misunderstood across all years of longevity. I believe I understand it better than most due to a prior technical background combined with calling the PBS helpline fairly often when I was new. But there are still some awards that leave me scratching my head from time to time, I have to admit.
Truth be told, you don't understand AOS/PBS, or you wouldn't make such ignorant statements. Give Terry C. Or Frank B. a call for some programmer level insight.
